Obituary

Hannah Mary Agnes Grieco, age 28, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 27th, 2025, after a lengthy and heroic battle with cancer and ensuing complications.
Hannah was born on January 17, 1997 in Salisbury, Maryland, the daughter of Anthony and Judith Grieco.
Hannah moved to Atlanta in 1999 with her family. After high school, she received her Associate of Arts Degree, from St. Mary's College in Saint Mary's, Kansas. Hannah spent several years working as a part-time music teacher and teacher's aide in Post Falls, Idaho and Saint Mary's, Kansas. Always adventurous, she pursued a diverse myriad of opportunities giving her a wealth of experiences in her young life.
In October 2022, Hannah was diagnosed with advanced non-Hodgkins's lymphoma. She moved home and engaged in an aggressive treatment plan. Her efforts resulted in the successful remission of her cancer, however, in the next two years she experienced constant complications in her pursuit of full recovery. On June 27th, 2025, having exhausted all treatment options for lung complications, she passed into eternity surrounded by family and fortified by having received the Sacraments and all the prayers and blessings that the Church has to offer a departing soul.
Hannah was unique. She was graceful, full of life, compassionate, thoughtful, and devoted to her Faith, family and friends. She was intelligent, witty, spontaneous and always ready for a new adventure.
As a well-rounded person, Hannah was an avid reader and lover of music, art, cooking and photography. She loved outdoor life including hiking, equestrian activities, sightseeing, the mountains, beach and travel.
Hannah's smile and personality drew people to her, leaving a lasting impression.
Along with her parents, Hannah is survived by her seven siblings, nine nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

These are from "The Little Prince" by Antoine De Saint-Exupery, a classic novel:

"One runs the risk of weeping a little if one lets himself be tamed."
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly."
