Holt Van Leonard Garrard
October 25, 1934 – September 15, 2024

Holt Garrard opened his eyes to his eternal home in heaven on September 15, 2024. He was the husband of Rochelle Garrard and the father of Ron Garrard (Dana), Beth Overstreet (Jim), Jim Garrard (Mio) and Laurie DeVore (Dusty). He was the grandfather of Taylor Johnston (Caitlyn), Ashley Overstreet, Allie Ball (Scott), Josh Garrard, James Garrard, Michael Garrard, Taylor DeVore and Livi DeVore. He was the great-grandfather of Tucker Johnston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis F. Garrard III and Virginia Garrard of Miami, FL, and his siblings, Louis F. Garrard IV, Isabell Knight and Bill Garrard. Holt had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of North Point Community Church. He loved to read and study Scripture. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast with a particular love for his alma mater, Georgia Tech, and their football program. His vocational life included the founding of Engineered Structures, Inc in Marietta, GA. Holt loved outdoor adventures with his friends and family, taking many trips with Georgia Tech all over the world, and having visited all 7 continents. His family will have a graveside service in Miami at the Woodland Park Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life service will be held on October 25th at 1 pm at Northside Chapel- 12050 Crabapple Road Roswell, GA 30075.
