Mr. Hubert Dean Roper Jr., age 60 , of Dawsonville, GA, formerly of Alpharetta, GA, passed away on February 8, 2026, surrounded by family , after battling with cancer . He was born to Mr. Hubert Dean Sr. and Mrs. Grace Roper, on January 27, 1966, in Atlanta, GA. Dean enjoyed the outdoors, gardening , hunting and fishing. He was also an avid bowler for many years. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He worked as a handy man with his father and in the sawmill for several years.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Dean Roper Sr.
He is survived by his Mother, Mrs. Grace Roper, his children, Celina Jones, Matthew Roper, Ashley Bearden and their spouses and 10 grand children , extended family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM, at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory in Roswell, GA, with Rev. Alfred Rickett officiating. Internment will follow in the Phillips Cemetery in Milton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 until time of service.
