Isaac Newton Goodvin II ("Ike"), age 89, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Milton, Georgia. He was born on May 2, 1936, in West Plains, Missouri.
Ike was an entrepreneur who valued hard work, integrity, and personal responsibility. He lived by the mottos, "Trust but verify" and "Nothing is more important than family," principles that guided both his professional life and his relationships.
He was known for his kindness, positive outlook, and belief in facing life's challenges head-on. Ike loved to travel, and treasured time spent visiting friends and family across the country. Above all, he was a devoted believer in family—committed to keeping family connections strong and intact, regardless of hardship or disagreement.
Ike made a lasting impact on countless lives. From fraternity brothers and college friends to extended family and lifelong companions, his influence was wide and deep. He opened his home and heart to family members in need, mentored others through difficult seasons, coached people through life's challenges, and consistently pushed those around him to become the best versions of themselves. His legacy is one of generosity, guidance, and unwavering support.
He is survived by his significant other, Susan Utt; his children, Kim Venarchick and Jeff Goodvin; his grandchildren, Kristen Venarchick and Alisha Venarchick; and his bonus children, Jessica Custard, Anthony Brown, and Dustin Malpass-Brown. He is also survived by his bonus grandchildren: Riley Custard; Michelle Brown, Zoey Brown, Liam Brown; and Astrid Malpass-Brown.
Ike will be remembered for his steady presence, generous spirit, and enduring dedication to family and community.
