Jacob Thomas Miller, 25, of Roswell, GA lost his battle with depression on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born June 12, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Jeff and Amy Miller and died at Kennestone Hospital when they could not resuscitate him.
Jacob was a brilliant, funny, honest, gentle, caring person who struggled with his own mind. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology during COVID in December 2020 with a major in Psychology – a long term passion of his as he struggled with high-functioning autism, depression, and anxiety.
Jacob was open and honest with his struggles and sought the guidance of many to overcome. He underwent many medical and fringe procedures to help in that aspect. Despite his struggles, Jacob fought hard and successfully connected and was involved with friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Amy Miller; his sister, Kara (Miller) Minelli (Julian); brothers, Eduard and Atis Miller; his grandparents, Wayne and Nina Miller and Jerry and Sue Miller of Huntsville, AL; his other mama, Aunt Mindy Miller of Smyrna, GA, and a long list of loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved him like a brother.
The visitation for Jacob will begin at 5:00pm on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA 30075. The funeral service to celebrate and honor Jacob's life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2023, preceded by a one-hour visitation. He will be interred following the service at Milton Fields Natural Burial Grounds.
