James Richard Stewart, aged 85, of Dunwoody, Georgia, passed away on the morning of January 13th, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Ann Leonard and his granddaughter, Hannah McKenzie Leonard.

Jim was born on April 4th, 1937 to James N. Stewart and Bonnie O'Neal Stewart in Hapeville, Georgia. He attended Georgia Military Academy. He continued his studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology and would remain a yellow jackets fan throughout his life.

He was predeceased by his wife Ramona Margo Orr Stewart. He was a devoted husband to Margo for over sixty years. All of Jim's friends know what loving and attentive care he gave Margo until she succumbed to Alzheimer's disease.

Jim worked with computers throughout his life. Always relishing the chance to learn something new. He also loved to work with his hands including working on cars, renovating his home, and fixing electronics. He loved music, travel, and the company of friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted member of his church.


Services will be held at the Roswell United Methodist Church chapel on Monday, the 23rd of January at 11:00 a.m. Please also come and join the family to remember Jim's life and stories after services at Tuscany Café in Alpharetta.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
