Mr. James S. Thomason, age 87 of Cartersville, formerly of Roswell, died December 20, 2007. Mr. Thomason was a retired school bus driver and a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bryant Thomason of Cartersville; daughters, Ann Thomason and husband, Dorris Waldrop of Roswell, Connie and Larry Haberski of Buford, step-daughter, Sheila Norman of Cartersville; sons, Bill and Cindy Thomason of Marietta, Henry and Barbara Thomason of Panama City Beach, FL., stepsons, Harry and Julie Estes of Marietta, Virlyn and Betty Estes of Jasper and Doug Estes of Talking Rock; sister, Evelyn and W. V. (Bill) Day of Cumming; sister-in-law, Violet Thomason of Roswell; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. James E. Sutton officiating. Interment, Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 PM to 7 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory.
