Janice Long, "graduated" to the Kingdom of Heaven on November 13th in Marietta. She was the daughter of the late James Hulen Stewart and Gertrude Moultrie Stewart. She was married to Billy Long in 1965.
Besides Janice, she was known as Mama, Maw Maw, Aunt Janice, and JLo (the original) by those that loved her best. Her life was devoted to her immense love of Jesus and her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was dedicated to furthering God's Kingdom by teaching little children. She taught preschool at East Minster Christian Preschool and Shallowford Falls Community Church, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Willeo Baptist Church. Her tremendous love for her family was at the very heart of who she was. She could be found making every moment magical for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews, gifting each family member with her warm hugs, and cooking favorite family recipes during family gatherings. She could often be found dancing to Elvis's songs just for fun. Her legacy will be one of spreading joy and light to every soul in need. She will be missed incredibly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Long of Roswell; children Debbe Long Wilson (Mickey) of Woodstock and Mickey Long (Sheri) of Woodstock; grandchildren Candace Long Rich (Eric), Catalina Long Davis (Reed), Carissa Long Reed ( Andrew), Demi Wilson Kiser ( Tate), and Drake Wilson; brothers Michael Stewart (Debbie) and Rickey Stewart (Vickie); cousin Hilda Hughes: great-grandchildren Lena Davis, Cohen Rich, McCoy Davis, Pierce Rich, June Reed, Lottie Davis, Lane Reed, and McCrae Rich.
