Jay D Wilcox, age 76, lived in Dansville, NY but most recently resided in Roswell, GA, passed away on August 16. Jay was born on July 16, 1948 in Warsaw, NY, was a devoted husband to Lynn and a loving father to his step-daughter Sue (Steve), step-daughter Carrie, step-daughter Kris (Paul), son Shanton (Hope) and son Joshua (Courtney).

Jay was kind and giving, always willing to help family, friends and strangers alike. He proudly drove truck for over 25 years, seeing the country and providing for his family. Jay was selective about the things that were important in his life, mainly family and friends, a good book, a friendly pitbull, a full bottle of Jack Daniels and Mack trucks. He graduated from Dansville High School in 1966 and while he moved to Florida in 1989, he stayed close with family and friends in the Dansville area.

He is survived by his wife Lynn, sister Karla, brother John (Elizabeth), and kids, with 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by father Lowell, mother Jean and brother Aaron.

A memorial service will be held at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA on September 7 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Jay will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His sense of humor and willingness to help others will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
