Jenell Parker Hungerbuhler, 79, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.

Born on February 23, 1946, in Pensacola, Florida, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Parker.

Jenell was a proud graduate of Turner County High School in Ashburn, Georgia, and earned her degree in English from Valdosta State College (now Valdosta State University) in Valdosta, Georgia.

A long-time member of Roswell United Methodist Church, she began her professional life with a brief tenure at C&S Bank in Atlanta, where she met her beloved husband, John Hungerbuhler. The couple married in April 1975 and shared 43 cherished years together until his passing.

Jenell embraced her calling as a stay-at-home mother, lovingly raising their four children: John Peter (Peter), Joan Marie (Joanie), Jennifer Lynn (Jenny), and Robert Thomas (Rob). Family was the heart of her world; she delighted in time spent with her brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. She was a regular volunteer at local schools and cherished opportunities to travel with close friends and family.

A resilient fighter, Jenell survived breast cancer on two separate occasions, demonstrating remarkable strength and grace throughout her challenges.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hungerbuhler; her brother, Johnnie Parker; and her great-niece, Hannah Adair.

Jenell is survived by her children: Peter (Jennifer) Hungerbuhler of Roswell, Georgia; Joanie (Heath) Strickland of Barney, Georgia; Jenny (Brian) Gottlieb of Weston, Florida; and Rob (Jacquie) Hungerbuhler of Roswell, Georgia. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Allison Hungerbuhler, Parker Hungerbuhler, Bradley Hungerbuhler, Dalen Strickland, Caleb Gottlieb, Braden Gottlieb, Emerson Hungerbuhler, Easton Hungerbuhler, and Ellison Hungerbuhler.

She is also survived by her siblings Janice (Charles) Oxford and Jerry (Robin) Parker; in-laws Tommy and Bebe Hungerbuhler; many special nieces and nephews; her dear friend Julie Husler; and her beloved dog, Katie.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses and staff at Tranquility Hospice for their exceptional, loving care during her final days.

Jenell's warmth, faith, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life to honor Jenell's vibrant spirit will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Roswell United Methodist Church. The family will receive relatives and friends in the Parlor beginning at 10:00 a.m. Attendees are warmly invited to wear Jenell's favorite colors, pink and blue, as a joyful tribute to her life and love of those bright, cheerful hues.
