Mr. Jerry Lamar Gunter, age 85, of Ball Ground, GA, passed away at home on Monday 25, 2024. He was surrounded by family and friends, that was his one wish. Jerry was born on September 5th, 1938 in Alpharetta, GA, the son of the late Clarence and Voncile Gunter. Jerry married the love of his life, Carolyn Martin on July 6th, 1958. The marriage was blessed with 5 children.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one child, Tony Lamar Gunter. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gunter and four children: Carol Coffman, her spouse Jon of Big Canoe GA, Armelda Lynn Richert, her spouse Darrell of Alton MO, Robbie Gunter, his wife Janis of Ball Ground, GA, and daughter Debra Stancil of Ball Ground GA. He had 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and even a few great-great-grand-children. He is also survived by his brother, Benny Gunter and wife, Jody; sisters, Peggy Roberts and Patsy Payne and her husband, Junior.
Jerry had a long career with Circle A Fence. He loved to work in his shop with his son and grandson. The Family will be accepting friends and family at Northside Chapel in Roswell, Ga on Wednesday March 27th 2024 from 2pm until 7pm. Services will be held in the Northside Chapel at 11:00 on Thursday, March 28th 2024.
