Mrs. Joan Burke, age 89 of Alpharetta, GA passed away peacefully at her assisted living on April 1, 2026. She was born on March 21, 1937 in Scranton, PA on a Palm Sunday/First day of spring to John Joseph and Mary Kowalski Dombroski. Joan was the middle of three girls; she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. Joan met and married the love of her life, Joseph Burke on February 2, 1963. She was a lifelong supportive wife, mother and homemaker. Joan loved her three children immensely; Susan Feruck, John Burke, and Tom Burke. Joan and Joe moved many times throughout their 51 years of marriage and Joan always maintained such a gracious home. She was always happy to provide a warm, loving and inviting environment to all relatives and friends. She is survived by her children, Susan (Daniel) Feruck of Alpharetta, GA and John (Maribel) Burke of Crabapple, GA; daughter-in-law, Colleen Burke of Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was always the proud, loving and caring Nana to Abby Feruck, Madison Burke, Brianna Burke, Libby Feruck, Christian Burke and Kyle Burke. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie and Louise; husband, Joseph Thomas Burke and son, Tom Burke. A funeral mass will be held on May 8, 2026 at 11AM in the chapel of St. Brigid Catholic Church.
