Obituary

Jose Ismael Velasquez Garcia, 72, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was born and raised in El Salvador on December 16th of 1953. He lived happily for many years with his family that he adored in Roswell where he passed away in peace on May 8th of 2026 to join our Savior.

Jose lived a good life with a family that he adored with caring parents and siblings. When he met his wife, Luisa, they had 4 children together, Elmer, Luisa, Elia, and Carmen. He raised them with love and they all loved him and they couldn't think of a better father. After coming back to El Salvador from Panama, he helped build the Catholic Church, Iglesia Católica Ciudad Romero, to serve his community and also contributed to helping the rest of his community in other ways.

Soon after, he came to the United States to work as a machine operator in the landscaping business to be able to give his family a better future and in doing so, he was able to bring the rest of his family to this country, he provided for his family wherever possible. His 4 children gave him 14 grandchildren and he held and loved each one dearly. His grandchildren loved him back and will forever cherish him.

He was smart, caring, affectionate, and most importantly, beloved by his community and those around him. Those who met him considered him as a father figure in many ways. He was a humble man who enjoyed life in every way possible and fought every last battle that came his way for himself and his family. The battle he fought for his life in 2014 gave us 12 more years with him that we are extremely grateful for. He fought one last battle but he went in peace with the Lord on the night of May 8th 2026 and he will be missed by everyone who adored and respected him. Que descanses en paz papá.
