Joseph Douglas Conley, 72, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away on February 25, 2023. He was born in Ashland, Ky. to George and Wanda Conley. He graduated from Paul Blazer High School in 1968. He excelled in basketball and baseball. In high school Joe played on the Tomcats state championship baseball teams all 3 years. In 1968, Joe was named to the All State tournament team. He was inducted into the CP-1 hall of fame in 2017. He umpired minor league baseball games and refereed high school basketball and volleyball.
Joe had a great sense of humor and kept people laughing.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica Franklin (Dustin) and two grandchildren, James and Melody. His four siblings: Larry Conley (Lorie), Linda Meyers (d. Bill 2022), Jennifer Gray, Pam Layman (Joe).
Stepson David Andrews and family, Dodie McCoy, long time sweetheart and friend, and the McCoy family.
The family would like to thank Accent Care Hospice Inpatient Center for their attention and care to Joe's needs.

A visitation for Joe will be on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory at 12050 Crabapple Road Roswell, Georgia 30075. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory at 12050 Crabapple Road Roswell, Georgia 30075. The memorial service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
There will also be a service of remembrance held at Caniff Funeral Home (Westwood), on March 5th, 12:00-2:00 pm.
