Judith "Judy" Ann (Keiser) Bredahl, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 7, 1948, in Pennsylvania, Judy grew up in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Whitehall High School and attended St. Luke's School of Nursing in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In 1970, she married Dale Bredahl, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 56 years and was centered on faith, family, and love.
Judy raised her family with Dale in Palatine, Illinois, building lifelong friendships and treasured memories filled with love and laughter. As a devoted nurse, she found joy in caring for others and improving the lives of those around her. She took immense pride in raising her two daughters, Melanie and Meredith, who grieve the loss of their mother.
In 2004, Judy and Dale moved to Roswell, Georgia, where Judy lived more than twenty years until her passing. There, she brought joy to many as a member of Roswell Presbyterian Church and through an active social schedule informed by her wide-ranging interests, including book clubs, card groups, mahjong, and Atlanta's culinary scene. Judy also found exceptional pleasure as a devoted Mimi to her grandchildren, Mia and Risto, who miss her dearly.
Judy's kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Stanley "Skip" Keiser; her mother, Margeret Louise "Peggy" Keiser; and her brother, Thomas Keiser. Judy is survived by her husband, Dale Bredahl; her daughters, Melanie (Jason) Hunter and Meredith (Matthew) Mattila; and her cherished grandchildren, Mia Hunter and John Risto Mattila. She also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss her greatly.
