Kenneth Otto Christian age, 83, of Alpharetta passed away on May 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 13, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Otto Herman Christian and Theresa Strapple (Christian). Ken served in the US Navy as well as in the Navy Reserves for a total of 30 years. He was an active member of the VFW and a recruiter for the Boys State Program for the American Legion. Ken was an avid beekeeper and was a member of Etowah River Beekeepers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandi Christian. He is survived by his children, Terri Dolive (Del) of Roswell and Dean Christian (Lori) of White; four grandchildren, Luke Dolive, Renata Dolive Slaton, Caleb Christian, and Reese Christian, his brother Ron Christian of Philadelphia, along with other extended family and friends. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's memory to Etowah River Beekeepers. There will be a gathering at Del and Terri's home at 480 Hembree Hollow, Roswell after the service.
