Kristina Fraszczak Getch, age 89, beloved mother, mother-in-law, and Grandmama, a resident of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on October 11, 2025.
Mrs. Getch attended North Point Community Church, where she was involved in a women's group for several years, and attended services with her family. Born in Gdynia, Poland, Mrs. Getch came to the United States in 1956, learned to speak English, worked several factory jobs and became a licensed hairdresser. She became a citizen at age 23, and proudly called the United States her home. Mrs. Getch later attended and graduated from The Katharine Gibbs School and earned a job as an executive secretary for a French company. After seventeen years of working, she retired and moved to Georgia to be closer to family, where she found her calling as a Concierge at St. George Village until age 85. As a beloved member of the St. George staff, Mrs. Getch advocated for residents, many calling her "friend" and staying in touch after her retirement. She worked tirelessly to train new staff, install policy changes, and help residents in need. In her family, Mrs. Getch was a strong advocate for her children and grandchildren, encouraging them to strive for their dreams and goals. She was an extraordinary baker, gardener, creative, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Getch is survived by her three children Karen Steen Ramirez (Alejandro), Susan Pappas, and William Getch (Kirstie), grandchildren Kayla Steen, David Steen, Ryan Pappas, Evan Pappas, Fiona Getch, Nicola Getch, and Roger Getch.
The family will receive friends and neighbors on Thursday October 23rd from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at 237 Dennis Drive, Alpharetta, Georgia and a private family memorial service will be held in November.
