Larry Alexander West (Roswell, Georgia)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Alexander West, age 83, of Roswell, Georgia, who died peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delouris Jeanne "Dee" West, who passed away on July 26, 2025. Larry and Dee were married on August 10, 1961, at Mebane First Baptist Church, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, devotion, and shared joys.
A graduate of Southern Tech University, Larry pursued a career in electrical engineering and later retired from WXIA Channel 11 with multiple honors / awards including an award from the National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences. He continued to maintain friendships with his broadcasting connections and associates throughout his retirement and will be remembered as one of the best of his time.
Larry shared the simple pleasures of life with his beloved wife Delouris. The days of their retirement were spent enjoying morning coffee in their beautiful gardens by the koi pond, preparing savory home cooked meals and visiting with beloved family members. Larry was also a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons, cheering faithfully for his hometown teams.
Larry was a humble, kind and generous man and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
He is survived by his children, Greg (Shea), Dedrea and Brandon, and six grandchildren, Joseph (Katelyn), Meira, Brynn, Luke, Merissa, Sophie who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love of family.
