Obituary

Mrs. Lee Hitchcock Cagle, age 79, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Monday, July 22, 2024. Lee was born on July 17, 1945 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the daughter to the late Marian and Murray Hitchcock.

Lee grew up in Brookhaven attending North Fulton High School and later graduating from the University of Georgia. She enjoyed college as a sister of the Sigma Kappa sorority where she developed lifelong friendships. While at UGA she met and then married Fred Kleinsteuber, her first husband, who died tragically in 1974.

Two careers would afford Lee opportunities to meet what would be some of the most important people in her life. An educator for the Cobb County School System for two decades, Lee was integral to the Business Department at Walton High School. It is there where she would meet her loving husband Steve. After teaching, she would become an accomplished agent with Northside Realty as a member of the Million Dollar Club many times as well as a recipient of the Phoenix Award. Real estate was a labor of love for Lee as she was blessed with friendships that would take her everywhere from worldwide adventures to Mexican food and margaritas on Friday nights.

Along with her parents, Lee is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Steve Cagle, and her brother Tom Hitchcock. She is survived by her two loving daughters Ann Geer (Don Amos), of Saint Simons Island, Georgia; Karen Coyle (Brian) of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren Madeline Geer, Grace Ann Geer, Grayson Coyle, and Griffin Coyle; and many friends.

The visitation for Lee Cagle will take place at 2:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Northside Chapel at 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia.
