Linda M. Burke, 81, of Roswell, GA, peacefully passed away on December 28, 2022.
Linda was born on July 3,1941 to Al and Marion Boesl in Buffalo, NY. After graduating from Bishop O'Hearn high school in 1958, Linda went on to study at the University of Buffalo. She landed her first job at the Courier Express. From there she moved on to mortgage banking where she worked as an administrative assistant.
In 1977, she met James Burke, and they wed in 1979. James, however, was a "package deal", making Linda an instant mother to four teenagers – a job most people would run from!
In 1997, Linda and James became "snowbirds", spending winters in Florida and summers in Buffalo, NY. This was a special time in her life as she loved the beach and the warm weather, she got to spend time with her daughters and loved watching her grandchildren grow up.
Linda was very passionate about the Catholic Church and spent much of her time honoring our Lord with her worship and her work. Our family is grateful to know that Linda is finally at peace.
Linda was predeceased by her loving husband, James, and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Carol Braun, daughters, Rhonda Peloso (Art) and Cathy Jones (Bill), her grandchildren, Art, Jacqueline, Alyssa, Amanda, Charlie and Sean and great grandchildren, Samantha, Ella and Nolan.
A viewing will be held on January 11, 2023, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Northside Chapel located at 12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell GA, 30075. The funeral will take place on January 12, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Peter Chanel Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd. Roswell GA 30075 with a reception immediately following. All are welcome.
