Lloyd Wilson Massey, 90, of Roswell, GA passed away January 5, 2023, at home surrounded by the love of his life, Jill.
Lloyd was born in Ironton, Ohio, on November 30, 1932. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was a life time member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He earned his MBA from American University in Washington, DC. Lloyd's career spanned many years in sales at Caterpillar, Sperry Univac and Wang Computers.
Lloyd was a life time member of the Greater Atlanta University of Kentucky Alumni Association. Lloyd loved to read non-fiction and shared his wealth of knowledge to all who would listen. He was captain of their skiing boat which gave them many happy hours on Lake Lanier. He and Jill tended their garden with care and enjoyed sharing their harvest. He was a Sudoku enthusiast and could match anyone. Lloyd was an active planner of all their amazing travels.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Katherine (Huff) and Lloyd Massey, sister-in-law Janice Plack and cousin Thurston Orme. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Jill and his cousin, Gerald (Bet) Orme. He is also survived by "outlaws" Joe and Katha Plack, Jim and Linda Plack, Judy and Tony Owens, Jeff and Patti Plack, and Jenny and Mark Heeman. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him dearly.
A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11AM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
