With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Luis Hernán Velasco, 54, who went to be with God on May 7, 2026, in Roswell, Georgia.
Luis was a devoted husband to Ana Cristina Sanchez and a loving father to Martín and Gabriella Velasco, who were the center of his world. He was the beloved son of Luis H. Velasco and Zoraida Amparo Panesso, and a dear brother to Elizabeth Velasco.

Luis will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, big smile, and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a gift for connecting with people and building lasting friendships. His greatest happiness came from time with family—traveling, creating memories, grilling for loved ones, watching soccer, listening to the Gipsy Kings, dancing, and walking with his beloved dog, Diego.

Professionally, Luis dedicated his career to technology, engineering, problem-solving, value engineering, and automation. He held senior leadership roles at leading technology companies like Oracle and SAP, where he was deeply loved and appreciated by the communities and teams he helped build. He was respected for his integrity, thoughtfulness, and mentorship.

Above all, Luis lived a life defined by love, generosity, and humility. His presence lit up every room, and his absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on through his family, friendships, and the many lives he touched.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 13, at 3:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:30 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA 30075.
