Obituary

Lynda Faith Shrider of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the age of 78. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Lynda was born Lynda Faith Hanner in LaGrange, Georgia on October 30, 1944 to Olen and Thelma Hanner. She grew up in East Point, Georgia and married young and had three Children which she loved more than anything. She was a very beautiful woman and had a heart of gold. She loved everyone and was always joking around with us all. She was a very thrifty person, working at one of the largest thrift stores in Atlanta as a Region Manager, she was able to pay for Scott's first couple of years of college. She was a huge Elvis fan and loved Dewight Yokum and Rod Stewart. She loved the Indian Heritage and collected many Indian dolls, paintings and statues. She also loved to go to the beach. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she made it magical for all of her children and grandchildren. She would cook so much food and you could not even get near the Christmas tree because of all the gifts she had there for each and everyone. She would have a birthday cake for Jesus and the grandchildren would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and blow the candles out one by one. These are some of the most cherished memories we will always remember. She loved her family, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren more than anything in this world.

Lynda is preceded in death by her father, Olen Hanner, her mother Thelma Hanner, her brother Donald Jack Hanner and her late husband Harold Shrider.
She is survived by her three children, Ronda Conley, Troy Conley (Melissa) and Scott Thompson (Christina), eight Grandchildren, Olivia Thompson, Zach West, Spencer West, Rebecca West Zambuto, Alicia Wascom, Christina Conley, Abagail Conley and Delphine Conley and eight Great grandchildren, Rhett Zambuto, River Zambuto, Riggs Zambuto, Andrew Wascom and Declan Page.
