Maria Julia Cremin, age 91, of Belgium, passed away on Thursday, November 16th, 2023. Maria, who preferred to be called Julie by everyone, grew up in Belgium. In Julie's twenties she moved to the United States and lived in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and got a job as a Hostess at a Chinese Restaurant. There she met the love of her life, Edmond Patrick Cremin. They were married in Flushing, New York and had only one child, Michele Ann Cremin (Mixon). Julie and family had moved all over the world due to her husbands job with the DEA. Julie and Eddie finally settled down in Vero Beach, Florida when Eddie retired. Julie and Eddie did everything together and loved each other very much.
Julie loved sewing and would make clothes for her daughter and friends Barbie dolls and leotards for her daughters gymnastic team. She also loved flowers and gardening, and always loved the Doves she fed outside her garage. Julie spoke five languages including, Flemish, Dutch (Netherlands), French, German, and of course, English.
Along with her parents, Julie is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edmond Patrick Cremin and her brother, Lucien Vanoppen.
She is survived by her daughter; Michele Cremin Mixon of Roswell, Georgia and three grandchildren that Julie was so proud of, Clay Mixon, Charlotte Mixon, and Cassidy Mixon, all also from Roswell, Georgia.
A funeral Mass to honor Maria Julia Cremin will be held at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell, Georgia at 2:00 pm on December 1st, 2023.
