Obituary

At the age of 88, Marilyn Niermann Owens passed away on January 14, 2025 at home in Alpharetta, GA. She was born April 13, 1936 on a large farm near Hoyleton, IL, daughter of Henry W. and Amanda L. Niermann (Westerfeld). She is survived by her spouse Norman K. Owens. They were united in marriage on May 19, 2018. Marilyn was a graduate of Centralia H.S. class of 1953. She was eighth child of nine children.
Survivors are daughter, Susan (Troy) Harris and granddaughter Madelyn Harris. Stepchildren; David Little, Neil Little, Christopher Little, Linda Owens, Penny Jacobs, Norman Owens Jr., Daniel Owens, Douglas Owens and Kathryn Gallo, and sister-in-law, Janice Niermann.
She was preceded in death by husband Brian Little and her son, Paul Hill. Siblings - Elsie (Nelson) Pries, Lucille (Francis) Stevenson, LeRoy (Elaine) Niermann, Doris & Florris Niermann, Jean (Arthur) Harder, Kent (Barbara) Niermann, Robert Niermann.
Marilyn was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 19th, 1980. She is now with her loved ones and her Heavenly Father. Marilyn loved her temple & ward callings, especially teaching the 4-5 year olds with her husband, Norm. She touched many of our hearts. Her love for her family, friends and ward members was evident. She loved God and Country.
As a top producer of Real Estate for 20 years, her accomplishments included 100% Club, Outstanding Sales Associate of Greater Atlanta, 10 year Continued Board of Realty Million Dollar Club and the 1998 Phoenix Award presented by the Atlanta Board of Realtors.
Her love of travel included all parts of the United States. Within the last 7 years her adventures included Switzerland, Egypt, the Holy Land and several European countries. Of all, she loved her home of Georgia best.
