Mark Edward Gilleland age 78, of Sandy Springs passed away on September 11, 2025. Mark was a graduate of Sandy Springs High School in 1967. He served in the US Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jane Gilleland. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Martin (Sean), Greg Gilleland (Christie), Christopher Gilleland (Corrina) and Matthew Gilleland (Alyson); grandchildren, Zach, Cole, Adaire, Brantley, Caylee, MJ and Liam; brother, Paul Gilleland and sister, Mary Jane Cagle, Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Holbrook Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12pm until the time of service at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.
