Mrs. Mary E. Dripps Johnson of Alpharetta, GA passed peacefully on Thursday August 20, 2026. She was born in Everett, MA to Carl and Frances Oliveri. Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Dripps, who passed away in 1994, and her siblings Lillian Polcari, Anna Aiello, Charles Oliveri, and Richard Oliveri. In 2013, at the age of 77, she remarried and is survived by her current husband, Roland A. Johnson.

Mary spent 37 wonderful years raising her family with her late husband, Bill. Together they were blessed with 4 children: Debbie (Graham III) Crawford, David (fiancé, Dee Ellis) Dripps, Cheryl (Milton) Howard, William (Sabrina) Dripps Jr.; plus 11 grandchildren: Graham IV (Rachel) Crawford, Zachary (Ashley) Dripps, Jordan (Chelsea) Crawford, Alison (Ben) Zand, Jessica (fiancé, Ty) Howard, Jennifer (Justin) Denard, Colleen (Drew) Butturini, Connor (fiancé, Sherlyn) Dripps, William (Lydia) Howard, River Dripps, Isabella Ellis; 4 great grandchildren: Everett, Savannah, Autumn, Rowan.

In the last chapter of her life, Mary found love again with her husband, Roland A. Johnson. This union brought love and companionship, which expanded her family to Roland’s children, Todd Johnson (Richard Plaisted) and Erika Varano, plus Erika’s children Haley (Michael) O’Kelly and Brandon Varano, and 2 great grandchildren: Amelia and Michael.

She treasured her grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow. Many of her happiest memories were experienced around the family table, where her Italian cooking brought everyone together. She shared with them her love of family, quick wit, reading, travel, and the simple joys of life. Her children and grandchildren will cherish these memories of her warmth, her stories, her cooking, and the special moments they shared together.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mary E. Dripps Johnson will be held on Thursday September 3, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 535 Rucker Road Alpharetta GA 30004. A luncheon will immediately be held following the Mass in the church hall. A private family interment will be held at Arlington Cemetery following the luncheon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to North Fulton Community Charities, 11270 Elkins Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Mary volunteered for many years at this facility helping others in need.
