Mary Ann Hedden Gilliland, age 61, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.

Mary Ann was born June 20, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Roswell, Georgia, and graduated from the Barclay School in 1981. Mary Ann moved to Texas in the early 1980s. She married Patrick Lee Gilliland on November 17, 1990. They were married for over ten years and separated amicably. Mary Ann then moved to Brookside Farms where she was cared for by Nina Morrison for more than twenty years.

Mary Ann loved many things including dolls, stuffed animals, crime shows, music, and great food. Her favorite thing was celebrating holidays. She loved every event and planned for weeks as to how she would celebrate.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Newsome Hedden. She is survived by her father, Jeff A. Hedden, Jr. and his longtime companion, Linda Newsome; her sister, Evelyn Hedden and her husband, Todd Mille; her nieces, Autumn and Aspen Mille; and her nephew, Alexander Mille, all of Roswell, Georgia.

Mary Ann's family will receive friends at ten thirty in the morning on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Road Roswell, Georgia. The memorial service to honor her life will be at eleven o'clock in the morning following the visitation. There will be a short reception following the service.
