COCHRAN – Melvin Dean Cochran age 73 of Dawsonville, formerly of Alpharetta passed away on February 23, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Alpharetta and graduated from Milton High School in 1962. He retired from Fulton County Board of Education as a maintenance foreman. He is survived by his wife, Katy Newton Cochran of Dawsonville; daughter, Mary Dean Cochran of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, John Newton and Angela Cochran of Cumming; grandchildren, John Newton Cochran, Jr. of Cumming and Matt and Katy Cochran Gross of Atlanta. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Alpharetta City Cemetery.
