Mr. Merwin Nelson "Bud" Brewer departed this life February 18, 2026, at the age of 94 surrounded by his loving family. Bud was born in Viroqua, Wisconsin on February 24, 1931, to his parents Kenneth and Lillian Nelson Brewer. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 8 years (4 Years of active duty, and 4 years in the Naval Reserve). Bud enjoyed playing golf and tennis, woodworking, and watching the Atlanta Braves and Falcons. Most of all he loved his family dearly, making special memories together every holiday and beach vacation, fixing everything they broke and making jokes with his quick sense of humor. Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Barbara Jean Brewer; his three loving children and their spouses, Laurie Barone (Harry), Carolyn Harris (Robert) and Steven Brewer (Julie); brother, Frederick Brewer (Lorriane); grandchildren, Lauren Landes (Ben), Hannah Brewer, Bowen Harris, Samuel Barone and Lucie Barone.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Merwin Brewer will be Monday March 2, 2026, at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA with visitation at 11:00 and service at 12:00. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery with Military rights performed by the United States Navy.
