Molly Marie Kevern (Finley), 37, of Alpharetta, Georgia, went home to be with her Savior on June 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the unwavering love of her family. Though her earthly journey ended far too soon, her faith fills us with hope, assured that she now shares in the resurrection of Christ, freed from all suffering and rejoicing forever in His presence.
Born on January 15, 1989, in Birmingham, Alabama, Molly was the beloved daughter of Casey and Teri Finley. She grew up alongside her sisters, Amy and Kimmie, sharing a close bond that only deepened throughout life.
Molly graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School before earning her undergraduate degree from Auburn University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her years at Auburn, she met the love of her life, Mitchel Kevern. They shared a love of dancing and could often be found together on dance floors across campus, where a beautiful love story began and grew into the foundation of their family. It brings comfort to imagine Molly now dancing with Jesus—whole, joyful, and forever free from suffering.
Of all the roles Molly held in life, being a wife and mother was the one she treasured most. Her greatest joy was raising her three precious children, Max (11), Lucy (8), and Jack (6). She loved spending quality time with the people she cherished, and she never took for granted the gift of simply being together.
To know Molly was to be fiercely loved. She was the friend who stood beside you without hesitation, defended those who needed protecting, and loved with a loyalty that never wavered. Gentle in spirit yet fierce in conviction, she made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply cherished.
Above all else, Molly's life was rooted in her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout her cancer journey, she faced unimaginable hardships with extraordinary courage, steadfast hope, and quiet grace. Even in suffering, she pointed others toward Christ, uniting her pain with His redemptive love. She inspired family, friends, caregivers, and countless others through her unwavering trust in God's goodness. Her life was a testimony that faith does not eliminate suffering but transforms and carries us faithfully through it.
Molly is survived by her devoted husband, Mitchel Kevern; her beloved children, Max, Lucy, and Jack Kevern; her parents, Casey and Teri Finley; her sisters, Amy (Zac) Stafford and Kimmie Finley; her grandmothers, Jean Finley and Kay Null; her in-laws, Dave and Jane Kevern; her sister-in-laws, Amanda (Ryan) Duffy and Heather (Brandon) Tucker; many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends; and all whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.

Though our hearts ache in her physical absence, we rejoice in the hope that Molly is exactly where she longed to be—in the presence of her Savior, filled with perfect joy and everlasting peace. Until we meet again, we will carry her faith, her love, and her legacy in our hearts.
Eternal rest grant unto Molly, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Molly's soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
