After a long battle with his health, Nes Mtendaji Kuweza, affectionately known to his family and friends as Daji, peacefully passed away in the presence of his loved ones on September 12, 2024 in Atlanta, GA at the age of 73.

Early in life Daji displayed a very inquisitive love for learning new and many things. He attended elementary school and junior high schools in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from NYU, and a Master's Degree in International Finance from Baruch College in Manhattan.

Daji worked for several Fortune 500 companies, eventually retiring from IBM. After retirement he spent 2 years in China teaching English as a second language to college level students. He was an avid world traveler, immensely enjoying the people and the places he visited. He traveled to Africa and Europe as well as to Asia. He loved studying and learning languages like Japanese, Swahili, Chinese and Tagalog. He was known for having a talent for signing and writing, as well as for expressing his views on politics and world events. He loved sports, especially baseball and basketball, which he had participated in when he was in school.

Daji was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Mary Pringle; and by his two brothers, Thomas Jr. and Robert Pringle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mercy Kuweza; beloved sister, Rose Pringle / Muima Maat EnKamit; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Daji's kindness, love of life and generosity will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his close relatives and friends. His memory will forever be cherished.

There will be a Celebration of Life with his family and friends on October 12, 2024 at 11:00am at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA.
