Olice is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Donna Carr; daughter, Marsha Carr Lanier; grandchildren, Lindsay Emory (Phillip), Jordan Carr (Maureen), Beth Canada (Jonathan), and Cindy Collin (Mathew); 5 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and wives, Charles Hatcher (Krysta Harden), and Marc Hatcher (Joy); sister-in-law Grace Adkins, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Olice attended Marist High School on a football scholarship and entered the U.S. Navy soon after his graduation. Olice received basic seamanship training at the Great Lakes Naval Center in Michigan, and upon completion of his training, was assigned to the USS Ommaney Bay, a "Baby Flattop" CVE 79, in the South Pacific. Olice served as an ordinance handler on the flight deck crew and attained the rank of Seaman 1st Class. On January 4, 1945, the USS Ommaney Bay was struck by a Japanese kamikaze in the WWII Battle of Leyte Gulf and sank in the Sulu Sea. Olice and his fellow crewmen were rescued from the sea by the destroyer USS Burns and later transferred to the battleship USS Minneapolis. For his service, Olice was awarded the Asiatic Pacific (Survivor) with 3 stars, Victory Ribbon, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 stars.
After his time in the Navy, Olice returned home to Atlanta, Georgia where he began a career in sales before joining the Atlanta City Fire Dept where he earned the rank of Sergeant. After 17 years at Atlanta Fire Station #16, Olice joined the United States Postal Service as a U.S. Postal Carrier at the Doraville, GA Post Office, where he later retired.
Olice was a member of Alpharetta First Baptist Church and was a dutiful and faithful servant to his church and to the Lord. Olice shared a wonderful marriage to his wife Irma for 57 years. Olice and Irma shared their home in Cumming, GA since 1991. In July 2022, health reasons lead them both to Assisted Living where they lived and cared for one another in their final days together. Their love for each other was exemplary of a "perfect match". They were blessed with many friends, neighbors, and family who loved them dearly.

Olice loved working in his yard, gardening, and tinkering in his tool shed. He was a devoted family-man and had a profound influence in his roles as father and grandfather. He was blessed with watching his children and grandchildren grow and start families of their own, giving him the distinct joy of having both grandchildren and great grandchildren during his lifetime.
