Obituary

Padge Collett Reece, Age 88, of Dawsonville, formerly of Alpharetta/Milton, passed away on January 8, 2023. Padge was born on August 24, 1934 in Alpharetta/Milton to Dewey G. and Florence Phillips Collett. Padge grew up on the family farm on Freemanville Road surrounded by other Phillips family farms. She was a straight A student all through school and graduated from Milton High School in 1952. She met the love of her life, Charles Verney Reece, and they were wed in 1954. She was an executive secretary for the Titanium Pigment Company prior to having children and raising her family. She faithfully attended Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church until the family relocated to Dawsonville. She then became a member of Amicalola Baptist Church for over 30 years. She personified and lived the life of a Christian servant, wife, and mother. Padge lived to serve and care for her family and friends and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Garland Collett, Dorothy Collett Bates, infant sister Barbara Allen Collett, Roger Collett, Mark Collett.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles Verney Reece and their 3 children: son and daughter in law, Randy and Donna Reece, son Scott Reece, and daughter and son-in-law Judy & Mike Heney. Grandchildren Jesse and Jennifer Reece, Paige and Ethan Hood, Nick and Kayla Heney. Great Grandchildren Jackson & Rylee Reece, Hayes and Charley Hood, Rhett and Reece Heney along with several nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11 2023 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, from 1lam to 2PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Boiling Springs Church Cemetery, 1200 Birmingham Road, Milton. The family would like to say a special thank you to the care givers at Trinity Manor Personal Care Home for the loving care provided in the final days.
