Patricia Ann "Patty" Carroll, age 58 of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at WellStar North Fulton Hospital following an illness. "Coach Carroll" was born on June 4, 1967, in Orlando, Florida to Bob and Ann Carroll and she has resided in Alpharetta since 2013. She is a 1985 graduate of Gainesville High School and 1989 Graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in Physical Education and Health Sciences. Since 1990, Coach Carroll has been a physical education and health teacher and has coached at North Springs High School in Roswell, Georgia. During her tenure, she was the head coach for girls' varsity basketball, cross country and girls track and field. Coach Carroll's girls track team won back-to-back GSHA 5A State Championships in 2015 and 2016 and the program has been ranked nationally and still holds many records. Coach Carroll always put her students and athletes above herself and she assisted many students in not only sports but life skills as well. Coach Carroll was a strong supporter of the Fulton County Schools Special Olympics and was involved with that program for many years. Coach Carroll is preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Bob) and Ann Carroll and her sister, Lisa Carroll. Survivors include her brother, John Carroll (Laurie), Canton; nieces, Ashlyn Carroll and Anna Kate Carroll; Friend and Fellow Coach, Antonio McKay, Friends, Carey Lynn Mackesey (Tim) and Mary Margaret Ray (Chuck) and numerous "adopted nieces and nephews."
Patricia Ann "Patty" Carroll's memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Elevate City Church, 7770 Roswell Road Sandy Springs, Georgia 30305
