Patricia Virginia Capdau Geisinger of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on the 14th day of March in the year of our Lord, 2024, at the age of 86. She was strong, independent and a loving mother and grandmother until her last breath.

Pat embraced many roles in her life, and breathed passion into each.

Pat attended the University in Kentucky, then met her husband Harry at the University of Cincinnati. They married and moved to Atlanta in 1959.

Pat was proudly at Harry's side throughout his successful political career beginning in 1968.

Pat would say her best and favorite role was as a mother, the role she wanted most in life. Later blessed with grandchildren, Pat's name affectionately became Meré, a moniker she brought from her French Louisiana roots. This honored her having been born in New Orleans in 1937.

Pat was a strong career woman, working for the Census Bureau and then traveling all over the southeast for the GSA - General Services Administration. Pat educated small businesses on how to earn government bids. Pat's delightful personality and welcoming smile supplied 17 successful years, retiring in 2002.

Proving it is never too late to embrace a new passion, she picked up her paint brush at 72 years of age. Her paintings are complex, influenced by current culture, and challenging to viewers.

An avid SEC football fan, "Go Dawgs!" English Premier League fan, bridge player, passionate about music, and loved her English tea. Pat's door was always open with kettle on, welcoming good conversation.

Pat was pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, the Honorable Harry Geisinger, parents A.D. and Helen Capdau, brother Donald Capdau and daughter Cathy.

Pat is survived by James Phillips of Roswell, Barbara Geisinger of Chicago, IL, Clay Geisinger of Mooresville, NC, Donna Geisinger of Roswell, Tricia and husband Wade Parker of Gainesville, GA, Niece, Laura Lynn Nicoletti of Geneva, IL and grandchildren Kate Geisinger, Sam Geisinger, Jacob Parker, Eden Parker and Haley Murphy.

Those closest to Pat knew her as a loving, gentle soul. Lord, we thank you for our time together. And cheers to you Meré for a long, successful life filled with joy and love. One day we will dance with you in the heavens. We love you Pat.

Services will be held at Northside Chapel at 12050 Crabapple Road in Roswell, April 20th at 1pm. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 3-6pm.
