Patricia Susan Sullivan Farr Malatesta passed away on November 28 at the age of 83 in Alpharetta, GA, with her son, Eddie, at her side. Born in 1941 and raised in Roswell, GA, Pat graduated from Roswell High School in 1959 and went on to attend the Women's College of Georgia. She married Gene Farr in 1961 and has two sons, Barry Farr and Eddie Farr. After raising her two sons, she attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1989. In 2008, she married Freddie Malatesta and moved to Big Canoe, GA and, later, to Parker, Colorado. Pat was a long time member of Roswell First Baptist Church but regularly attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta, Ga. in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Carl and Marie Sullivan and sister Jean Milner, brother-in-law Tommy Farr and sister-in-law Brenda Farr, and her husband, Freddie Malatesta. She is survived and loved by her brother David (Joyce) Sullivan, brother Eddie (Beverly) Sullivan, brother in law Dave (Peggy Malatesta), sisters in law Eloise Bowers and Norma Patton, former husband Gene Farr, sons Barry (Julie) Farr, Eddie (Terri) Farr, step sons Bryan (Bonnie) Malatesta, Eric (Brandy) Malatesta, Andrew (Lara) Malatesta, step daughter Amy (Jonathan) Thomson, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews who were such an important part of her life.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 7, at 3pm at the Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA 30075.
