Obituary

Paul Joseph English, 57, of Milton, died on February 12, 2026 surrounded by his wife and four children after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on May 1, 1968.

Paul attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and earned a degree from Xavier University. His successful financial career began at Federated Department Stores as an auditor, where he and Kate met. He built a long successful career in finance and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations. He worked for many years at Invesco (1998-2025), where he most recently served as senior research analyst and head of corporate credit research at Invesco Fixed Income.

Outside of work, Paul was happiest in the company of others. He enjoyed long bike rides and walks, annual golf trips with lifelong friends, and travel with his family. Anywhere with sun and water were his happy places. He loved hosting friends and family in his home, where guests were always made to feel welcome, and evenings were filled with games, jokes, and laughter. He especially treasured simply spending time with his children. A lifelong Cincinnati sports fan, he followed the Bengals, Reds, and Xavier basketball. Above all, he was devoted to his wife, Kate, and deeply appreciated the care she provided during his illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Francis English and Mary Elizabeth English (nee Clemens).

He is survived by his wife, Kate English; his children, Nolan English (Jayli), Craig English (Belle), Eric English and Lainey (Helene) English; his brother, John English; and his sister, Mary Jo Otterberg (nee English).
