Peggy Burgess Bates, 91 years old of Alpharetta, GA passed away peacefully on September 14,2024.

An Alpharetta native, she was a lifelong member of the Alpharetta Methodist Church where she volunteered much of her time while also volunteering for the Red Cross. She was a graduate from MHS in 1950.
She loved God and studying the bible daily with her husband, Walter. She was an avid gardener with a love for family and friends. Her baking skills were unmatched and she always had something sweet to share with guests.

She is survived by her son Lee Bates, sisters Gail Burgess and Elsie Knight and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Peggy's service will be held at Alpharetta Methodist Church on Friday September 20,2024 at 2:00pm, followed by a reception at the church.
Interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on September 25,2024 at 3:00pm.
