Philip E. Garcia was born on June 18, 1957 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and died on February
21, 2025 in Alpharetta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Jorge & Lillian Garcia, and
his brother Jorge Loynaz.

He was a proud son, husband, and father as well as a microbiologist at the CDC. He retired
after 16 years of dedicated service. He loved to be in nature, go camping and fishing with his
brothers in Miami, and photography. He also ran the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, GA 7
times, which he proudly celebrated and announced to everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Dulce, his daughters Michelle (Devon Simon) & Stephanie
(Daniel Minnick), his granddaughter Madison Lily, and his brothers, Danny (Wendy Mahr) &
Richard (Elizabeth) Garcia.

All of his family and friends are invited to his funeral service at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church, 535 Rucker Rd Alpharetta, GA on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 10 am with a
reception to follow at 3531 Castleberry Village Circle Cumming, GA at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dementia Society of America.
