Obituary

Richard Harvey Boltwood, age 66, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. Richard was born on November 22, 1956 in Alexandra Virginia, the son of the late Walter A. Boltwood and Eleanor Boltwood of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Richard moved with his family from Virginia to Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1965.
Richard graduated Clarkston High School in 1975, attended Dekalb Community College, then
Joined the US Army in 1976 where he was a Special Operator with the US Rangers, Airborne Division. He retired from the Army with 24 years of service, in 2000.
After his Military tenure, he formed TCT Construction, which he owned and operated until his death. He was a member and chaplain for the The Sons of Confederate Veterans as well as member of the Mechanized Cavalry.

Richard met Angie, the love of his life in 2009. They married in August of 2010 and shared 13 years of love, happiness and adventure. They attended Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia.
Richard was passionate about GOD, his family and country. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and was a lover of people and animals. He and Angie have 2 Beagles and 3 cats.

Richard had a way of making every person he met feel like they were a friend and that they mattered. He never met a stranger and his presence will be remembered forever by everyone that met or knew him.

Richard is survived by his wife of 13 years, Angie Boltwood of Cleveland, Georgia, two siblings, George Boltwood (Kathy Boltwood) of Atlanta, Georgia and Jane Mashburn (Connie Mashburn) of Alpharetta, Georgia. Son, Kyle Boltwood (Katie Riffle) of Iola, Kansas, Daughters, Brittany Mazzullo (Paul Mazzullo) of West Point, Virginia, Katie Baynard (Geoff Baynard), Grandsons, Liam Boltwood, John Paul Mazzullo, Ambrose Mazzullo and granddaughter, Emma Bain. Nieces and Nephews: Matthew Mashburn (Jenny Mashburn), Brent Boltwood (Amy Boltwood), Megan Boltwood-Batchelor(Andy Batchelor) as well as great-nieces and nephew; Leighton Batchelor, Harper Batchelor and Banks Boltwood.

Visitation for Richard will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Northside Chapel at 12050 Crabapple Rd. Roswell, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Richard's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January, 21, 2023 following visitation from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm.

There will be no graveside service as Richard wished to be cremated. His ashes will be spread on the Blue Ridge Parkway at a later date, to be decided.
