Robert William Fullbright, (75), of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed on November 24, 2024. Robert, known as Bob, was born to William and Mary Fullbright in Columbia, SC on August 9, 1949. Bob attended the University of South Carolina earning a degree in Journalism, and a master's degree from Brenau University, in Business Administration. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, achieving the rank of Captain. Bob enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, spending time on the water, and enjoying the outdoors. Bob worked in the corporate arena in Atlanta, GA, before focusing on his passion for working with adults with cognitive disabilities at Marbridge Foundation just south of Austin, TX. Following his time with Marbridge, Bob enjoyed several years at the Texas coast, boating and building new friendships. In late 2015 Bob moved to Canton, GA to be close to his daughter, Kim and her children. Bob loved working in his yard, his men's Bible Study group, and serving multiple roles within Walk to Emmaus. Bob is survived by his sister; Gloria Bruce (Ed) of Columbia, SC, his daughter; Kim McCrary (Rob), and their children Tanner, Parker, and Allie McCrary of Canton, GA, his son; Chris Fullbright (Monique) and their children Grant and Garrett Marumoto of Austin, TX. Bob thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his partner Lydia Casey Womack, of Alpharetta, GA and their friends over the last 5 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, William J. Fullbright Jr. and Mary Etta Jacobs Fullbright of Columbia, SC, and his sister Mary Lynn Fullbright of Columbia, SC.
