Russell Alan Rayner, 63, of Seminole, FL passed away Monday, February 17th after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's. Russell, a longtime resident of Alpharetta and graduate of Milton HS (1979) was deeply involved in the local bowling community and dedicated much of his time to coaching numerous youth bowling leagues, leaving a lasting impact on many young athletes.
Russell is survived by his wife Leigh Vogel Rayner, daughter Samantha Rayner; former wife Michelle Tillerson Rayner, daughter Laura Major (Kevin), son Christopher (Ashley), 7 grandchildren; sisters Renee Luke (Mike), Claudia Turk (Donna), Lynne Greenfield and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Raphael Rayner as well as mother and step-father, Rita and J.T. Turk.
Russell will be remembered during visitation at Northside Chapel in Roswell on Sunday, March 16th from 1pm-4pm.
