Ruth Elizabeth Phillips Albertson age 94 of Cumming passed away on December 30, 2022. Ruth was born on April 12, 1928 in Alpharetta to Elder Bartow and Azilee Phillips. She worked at National Library Bindery in Atlanta then the company moved to Alpharetta and she was a wonderful seamstress. She was a member of Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Milton. Ruth loved her family and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Albertson; daughter, Vickie Kelley; parents, Elder Bartow and Azilee Phillips; brothers, Eddie, Carl, Charlie, B.A. and Ernest Phillips; sisters, Mattie Holcombe, Florence Collett, Bulah Dinsmore and Mildred Dangar. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tom Rusk of Cumming; son-in-law, Morris Kelley of Gainesville; grandchildren, Adam and Jennifer Kelley of Gainesville, Philip and Mya Kelley of Gainesville, Amy and Keith Richardson of Cumming; John Rusk of Brooklyn, NY; great-grandchildren, Azilee Richardson of Cumming, Alex Kelley, Zach Kelley, Trey Kelley and Anna and Dylan Kelley all of Gainesville along with several nieces and nephews and other extended family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11AM to 1PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.
