Sandra Colleen Mabry Moltz, 74, of Roswell GA, passed away at her home on Dec 8, 2024, after an extended battle with cancer.
Sandra was born on January 13, 1950 in Anderson, South Carolina to Herbert Hoover Mabry and Colleen Bailey Mabry. She grew up in Sandy Springs, GA and graduated from Sandy Springs High School in 1968.
Sandra married Richard Armstrong Moltz on February 20, 1970 at Sandy Springs First Baptist Church. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Roswell, GA where they raised their three daughters and have resided for the past 54 years.
Sandra had varied interests, but loved being around her family and friends above all else. She enjoyed spending time with her children, her 8 grandchildren and her large extended family. One of Sandra's longtime joys was being a part of her high school class reunion planning committee. She considered those lifelong friends among her greatest. Sandra was also active in the Tres Dias Christian community. She planned and attended weekend retreats across the country and was able to share her love of Christ with other women. In recent years, Sandra participated in Community Bible Study where she studied God's word with fellow Christian women. The relationships she built within those communities were so precious to her.
Sandra had an adventurous spirit and was quick to join an escapade if it included the people she loved. She enjoyed travel, playing blackjack in Vegas, cheering on the Braves, and working on various political campaigns. She was often the life of the party and was a magnet for fun. Sandra will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Colleen and Herb Mabry; brothers Bill Mabry and Phillip Mabry; and beloved granddaughter Sarah Lacy. She is survived in death by her husband, Richard; daughters Julie Lacy (James), Christy Stanton (Chad), and Elizabeth Sibley (David); grandchildren Zach Lacy; Luke, Micah and Ellie Stanton; Joshua, Rachel and Dorothy Sibley; siblings Bob Mabry (Colleen), LuAnn Warrick (Brent), Paul Mabry, and sister-in-law Anne Mabry. She is also leaving behind many beloved extended family members.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18th, at 10:00 am at Northside Chapel in Roswell. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Canton, GA at 1:30pm.
