Mrs. Sharon Wooden, age 83, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. Sharon was born on April 5, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter to the late Joseph and Marjorie Machina.
Sharon was married to Maurice "Woody" Wooden, and moved first to San Antonio, Texas, and then Atlanta, Georgia. The marriage was followed by the birth of two daughters, Durinda and Barbara, and the adoption of Brandi. Their home was always very lively and full of laughter, with many family and friends visiting for holidays, home cooked dinners, and games. They also took in many cats over the years, among the most loved was Sharon's favorite black cat, Jane.
Sharon spent many years with her friends in the community, first as an active member of a local bowling league, and then for many years at the Roswell Senior Center, playing bridge several times a week.
Along with her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Woody. She is survived by her daughters: Durinda, Barbara, and Brandi, and 8 grandchildren.
