Michelle "Shelly" Edith Skinner, 63, of Marietta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2023. Shelly was born on November 27, 1960 in St Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Margot Griffith and the late Larry Menetre.

Shelly graduated from Peachtree High School and the University of Georgia. At UGA she was a nutrition major and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Shelly loved her faith, family and her friends whom she loved hosting and hanging out with. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, cuddling with her puppies, trips to beach and North GA mountains, cheering on the Braves, Dawgs and Rebels, and watching Andy Griffith and Seinfeld. Shelly was a kindhearted soul, full of love for others.

Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Larry Menetre. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Wesley Skinner; son, Samuel Skinner (Sarah) of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Michelle Skinner, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; mother, Margot Griffith (Ron) of Suwanee, Georgia; 2 brothers, Keith Menetre(Sylvia) of Johns Creek, Georgia and Kevin Menetre (Marcy) of Newnan, Georgia; step-mother, Rebecca Menetre of Alpharetta, Georgia, 3 nieces and 6 nephews.

The visitation will take place from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, Georgia. The funeral mass to honor and celebrate the life of Shelly Skinner will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2 pm at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, Georgia.
