Shirley Ann Cassidy Adams, age 85 of Woodstock passed away on October 26, 2024. She was born in Rochester, NY to Harold and Elizabeth Bangs. Shirley was a member of Northbrook United Methodist Church for over 26 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a merchandiser for the American Greeting Card Company, of Cleveland, Ohio, in the Atlanta District. She was awarded the title of Merchandiser of The Year for the Southeastern Regional Area. She was also active in the HOA at her Somerset residence and an avid supporter of MUST Ministries, conducting an annual Christmas Toy Drive in the neighborhood for 11 years. With her husband, she was a world traveler having visited over 76 counties on all the continents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Wesley Cassidy and son, Craig Cassidy. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Thomas Adams; son, Michael Cassidy (Wendy); daughter, Terri Kellar (Mitch); 3 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters and a great grandson. A graveside service for the family will be held at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's honor to MUST Ministries Charity or Northbrook United Methodist Church fund for UMCOR.
