Obituary

Stacy Lynn Kelly-Dixon was born on July 9,1968 in Chicago, IL. She sadly passed away June 27, 2023 at home with her husband, Osby Dixon.

Stacy loved nothing more than her family. Being a mother was her greatest joy. She loved traveling, music, animals, laughing, flowers and plants, watching movies, dancing and watching her son play football throughout high school and college. And of course she loved her elephants. She truly lived her life to the fullest.

She graduated from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in 1986, and then graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1992 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. Right after college, Stacy soon became a school teacher and continued teaching as a life-long career. She met her husband, Osby, in Chicago in 1994. They were married 2 years later and have celebrated 27 amazing years together.

In addition to her devoted husband, Osby, Stacy is survived by her beloved sons, Osby Jr., Everett "Moe", her daughter, Jade. She is survived by her grandchildren, Nasir and Elijah; sister, Kyla; brother, Kyle; sister-in-laws, Shirley and Georgia; brother-in-laws, Alfred and Nathaniel; several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was the most loving, caring, beautiful woman of so many, but heaven gained a special angel.

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate her life at Kelly-Dixon home following the service. The family will also be celebrating Stacy's 55th birthday this Sunday, July 9th at the Kelly-Dixon home. Bright attire is welcomed and encouraged.
