Terry "Turtee" Parker, 87 of Roswell, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Terry lived his life with love, loyalty and devotion to his family. He was well known for his steady presence, quick wit and unwavering support of his family. The Parker family continues to take comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his beloved daughter, Lisa.
Terry was a cherished member of the Roswell community, known for his warmth, dedication, and enduring spirit. He attended both Roswell High School and Chamblee High School before going on to marry the love of his life and begin a family that brought him great joy. Terry proudly served in the United States Navy as a chef, where he took pride in providing for others. Following his time in the military, he became the proud owner of Terry Parker's Heirloom Iron Bed Company, where his entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting legacy.
Terry was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Lisa Parker Clock, his brother in law- Gerald Parks and his brother, Jackie Parker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean "Nana" Parker, his son Scott Parker and daughter-in-law, Sandy Parker, his sister Claudia Hanzlik and husband Bill Hanzlick.
Turtee was the proud grandfather of Samantha Wren and her husband Trae Wren, Shannon Martin and her husband Jordan Martin, Addison Bible and her husband Robert Bible, and Parker Clock. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Bailey Parker, Bennett Martin, Gabe Martin and Arabella Wren.
In addition, Terry is survived by extended family who were very dear to him including his brother-in law Larry Parks and his wife, Cheryl Parks and his sister-in-law, Charlotte Parks.
The family invites friends and loved ones to a casual Remembrance Gathering—an opportunity to visit, share memories, and offer condolences—on Sunday, October 5, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center. This will be an informal event rather than a traditional funeral service. Light food and refreshments will be provided. Please feel free to come as you are and dress comfortably.
